Kimberly Hale  – Creator and writer of HoneyCrunched.  Kim is an ACE Certified Trainer with a passion for nutrition. She strives to motivate others as well as maintain a healthy active lifestyle each and everyday.  Kim grew up a dancer and has more than 25 years experience in ballet, jazz, modern and more.  She continues her quest for fitness through blending weekly weight training, yoga, pilates, and interval training.  She fulfills her passion for writing through this blog.  Kim’s day job is a Sr. Product Manager for a Chicago Technology Company.  Favorite guilty pleasure?  Chocolate Cake (well, really chocolate anything!). picture of kate milde Kate Milde – Contributing writer for HoneyCrunched.  Kate is a native of Chicago, but is currently living in the Mystic, CT area. She graduated with Highest Distinction from the University of Illinois at Chicago, completing a BA in English Writing with a Concentration in Cultural, Media and Rhetorical Studies. Kate’s career has since been in Healthcare Research Administration and Outreach Programming. Her path began at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, as a grant writer in the Cancer Control and Outreach Unit. Her accomplishments at the Cancer Center include successfully drafting and implementing Inter-Institutional Agreements between the UW, UWM and Menominee Tribal Health Clinic for a smoking cessation clinical trial, as well as Co-Leadership of the Annual Indigenous Health and Wellness Day. Kate’s recent position within the UW’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology consisted mainly of research grant expenditure reconciliation and protocol development for clinical trials. She is now happily at-home with her young son, and has completely embraced healthy living, including daily exercise and making healthier food choices. Her passions include writing, dancing, snowboarding and wine “tasting.”

  1. HI, girls! Thanks for signing up to follow my blog on diet, exercise and living past 100. I am enjoying my visit to yours. I totally support your goal of promoting a healthy lifestyle. That is so much more positive than trying to lose weight. Also, Kimberly, we have some weird similarities. My girlfriend was a professional dancer, including ballet, for 20 years before blowing out her knee. Also, I am a retired journalist who taught at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern. I have gotten into health and fitness writing since retiring. Best of luck with your blog!
